Kia has officially announced the launch of the all-new Sportage, a compact SUV that boasts a range of upgrades and enhancements. The new model is set to hit the market with three engine options: 1.6-liter turbo gasoline, 2.0-liter LPi, and 1.6-liter turbo hybrid.
The all-new Sportage features a completely redesigned exterior and interior, maintaining the model's dynamic and urban SUV image while exuding a more sophisticated and robust appeal. Under the hood, Kia has improved the driving performance by introducing an 8-speed automatic transmission for the 1.6-liter turbo gasoline engine. Additionally, the SUV now comes equipped with a smart system that automatically adjusts the regenerative braking level based on road conditions and a new "Infant Mode" that offers smoother acceleration for a more comfortable ride.
Safety and convenience features have also been significantly upgraded. The all-new Sportage is the first Kia model in Korea to feature a driver attention warning camera that monitors the driver's condition. The vehicle also includes a haptic steering wheel that provides vibration alerts in hazardous situations, as well as a head-up display (HUD) that minimizes the need for drivers to look away from the road. Other advanced features include Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2), Lane Following Assist 2 (LFA2), Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist.
“The all-new Sportage offers a unique combination of sophisticated practicality for urban driving and dynamic power for off-road adventures,” said Jeongwon Jeong, head of Kia's domestic sales division.
