▲ Gyeongbuk Office of Education holds overseas training performance sharing event to enhance expertise of kindergarten, elementary, and special education teachers

[Global Economic Times] On the 28th, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education held the ‘2024 Advance Education Visit Overseas Training Results Sharing Meeting for Kindergarten, Elementary School, and Special Education Teachers’ at Yeonhwa Hall in the Happiness Support Building of the main office. 

This event is the result of overseas training conducted for 32 Korean Yu, elementary, and special education teachers working in the fields of early childhood education, elementary education, physical education, health, school meals, school violence, democratic citizenship education, and welfare, multiculturalism, and special fields. It was designed to share.

The training was conducted in California, USA from the 24th to the 31st of last month, and various policy proposals and teacher training were provided through the collection of advanced education data on education policy and curriculum understanding to foster creative convergence talent in preparation for the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution. The goal was to increase professionalism.

On this day, the performance sharing session was conducted in the following order: training results report, implications, policy suggestions, and activity video screening. Attendees shared their experiences at places they visited, including Anorld and Canoas elementary schools, the Korean Education Center in Los Angeles, the Anaheim School District, Silicon Valley, and Stanford University, and had time to exchange opinions on educational innovation and policy improvement.

 A teacher from Yeongjuheung Elementary School who attended the training said, “Through this training, I was able to think deeply about the direction of future education and class innovation,” and added, “We are providing more question-centered classes so that students can take the lead in classes using AI.” “I will strengthen it,” he said.

Superintendent Lim Jong-sik said, “It is very important to strengthen teachers’ expertise amid the development of digital technology and rapid changes in the educational environment.” He added, “I hope that this overseas training will be a valuable opportunity to increase teachers’ capabilities, and we will continue to improve teachers’ teaching capabilities.” “We will not spare any support to do this,” he said.
