Mr. Park and Mr. Kang are accused of producing false videos of 61 women, including 12 Seoul National University alumni, from July 2021 to last April and distributing them in Telegram chat rooms. Mr. Park delivered the victims' graduation photos and photos posted on social networking services (SNS) to Mr. Kang, and Mr. Kang created a video using deepfake technology. It was found that there were more than 2,000 false videos produced and distributed by them. Since the victims included minors, charges of violating the Child and Adolescent Sexual Protection Act were applied.
