Singapore – Australian-based financial services group MA Financial is accelerating its expansion in the Asian market. The company recently appointed Kit Toh as the Head of Asian Distribution in its Singapore office, with a focus on strengthening relationships with institutional investors and high-net-worth clients in Asia and increasing access to its alternative investment products.
Prior to joining MA Financial, Kit Toh served as Head of Asia Pacific and CEO of Singapore at Moonfare, and has accumulated extensive experience at prominent financial institutions such as Capital Group, JP Morgan Asset Management, and Morgan Stanley. Her wealth of experience is expected to play a crucial role in further solidifying MA Financial's position in the Asian market.
MA Financial has been active in the Asian market for over a decade, and the growth of its Singapore office reflects the company's commitment to strengthening its investment and distribution capabilities in the region. This appointment comes shortly after the launch of MA Financial's first listed private credit fund, the MA Credit Income Trust, and aligns with the company's goal of reaching A$15 billion in assets under management (AUM) by the end of 2026.
In a recent announcement, the company emphasized the increasing interest of Asian investors in Australian private credit and alternative real estate. This is evidenced by recent strategic transactions, and MA Financial is expected to further accelerate its business expansion in the Asian market in response to this trend.
Meanwhile, alongside its expansion in Asia, MA Financial has also appointed a key figure in its Australian asset management division. Renee Oldfield has been appointed as Executive Director of Asset Management, responsible for overseeing key stakeholder relationships in Western Australia and South Australia. Based in Perth, Oldfield will focus on strengthening collaboration with financial intermediaries and family offices in the region.
The appointment of Kit Toh and the addition of Renee Oldfield are interpreted as proactive steps by MA Financial to expand its business across the Asia Pacific region and provide clients with a wider range of investment opportunities. In particular, MA Financial's strategy to strengthen its presence in the high-growth potential Asian market and meet diversifying investment demands is drawing attention.
