Busan City (Mayor Jeon Jae-soo) announced that it will host the "2026 Busan Finance Week" for two days, from October 16 to 17, at the 1st floor of the BEXCO Convention Hall, bringing together citizens and corporations.
Kicking off with the opening ceremony at 10:00 AM on October 16, this event is free and open to any interested citizens. This year’s event is packed with a total of 38 diverse programs—ranging from financial seminars and education to recruitment information sessions—designed for broad participation by ordinary citizens as well as financial institutions, corporations, and experts.
A notable highlight of this year's event is the substantial reinforcement of financial education tailored for future generations, including children, adolescents, and young adults. Children and teenagers can easily and enjoyably grasp economic and financial principles through play and experiential activities such as board games, with family programs available for parents and children to participate together. For young adults, the event provides economic and asset management education, job-seeking consulting, and financial sector recruitment information sessions to support successful financial lives and career preparation.
In addition, customized programs reflecting the practical demands of citizens and enterprises will be intensively operated. For the general public, practical financial seminars covering domestic and international economic trends, the stock market, real estate, pensions, and gold investments will be offered, along with educational sessions to directly learn and utilize cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and fintech. For corporations, the event provides core information necessary for capital market utilization and business growth—such as value-up, KOSDAQ and KONEX listings, IPO practices, and startup and growth strategies—while also establishing a networking platform with financial institutions.
Detailed information about the event can be found on the official "2026 Busan Finance Week" website (https://busanfinanceweek.co.kr/), or by contacting the Busan Finance Week Secretariat (☎ 051-740-3434).
Mayor Jeon Jae-soo stated, "Busan Finance Week is a meaningful occasion where citizens, corporations, and financial institutions gather in one place to read the flows of finance and discover new opportunities for a leap forward." He added, "As we have significantly strengthened programs this year to help future generations—especially children, adolescents, and young adults—learn finance easily and enjoyably while preparing for the future, we ask for great interest and participation from family visitors and young adults over the upcoming schedule."
