On the 10th, Bucheon Mayor Cho Yong-ik held a "Working-Level Discussion on Implementing New Government's National Policy Directives" at the Nanuem Room in Bucheon City Hall, actively exchanging policy ideas with about 20 7th-grade working-level officials. This meeting was arranged to realign the direction of city administration in line with the Lee Jae-myung government's changing national policy directives and to explore ways to implement policies centered on working-level officials.

The meeting adopted a brown bag meeting format, moving away from the traditional one-sided reporting method. This was to enhance policy implementation based on the ideas of working-level officials with rich field experience, especially at a turning point as the 8th popular election term concludes its third year and enters its fourth. A brown bag meeting refers to a meeting accompanied by a simple lunch such as sandwiches.

This meeting focused on "Strengthening Livelihood Economy Policies" in line with the new government's directives. In a comfortable atmosphere, the working-level officials offered concrete and practical suggestions on the strategies, feasibility, and on-site application of key Bucheon City projects, including:

Expanding local currency issuance Providing livelihood recovery consumption coupons  Supporting businesses and small merchants

It was particularly praised as a productive discussion led by working-level officials, as it proceeded in a two-way communication style where Mayor Cho Yong-ik and the officials exchanged questions and answers. This also aligns with the Lee Jae-myung government's direction for improving organizational culture.

Bucheon City plans to expand this working-level discussion to various fields such as welfare, transportation, and safety, making it a monthly regular event. Furthermore, proposals and discussions from the meetings will be reflected in the 2026 key work plan and the 2035 Bucheon City Long-Term Development Plan.

Additionally, the city intends to expand policy communication channels with young employees and foster a flexible and implementation-oriented administrative culture throughout the organization.

Mayor Cho Yong-ik emphasized, "Today's gathering was not merely a discussion but a practical policy meeting where we jointly designed the future of Bucheon. The experience and thoughts of working-level officials, who best know the field, are the most powerful force driving city administration."

He added, "We will actively reflect the voices from the field in the process of integrating the national direction into Bucheon City's administration."
