Espoo, Finland - Finland officially joined the Artemis Accords on Tuesday, strengthening its commitment to international cooperation in space exploration. Minister of Economic Affairs Wille Rydman signed the agreement at the Winter Satellite Workshop, a major space industry event held in Espoo.

The Artemis Accords, established by NASA and the US Department of State, outline a set of principles for the peaceful exploration and use of the Moon, Mars, and other celestial bodies. By signing the Accords, Finland aligns itself with the United States and other participating nations in promoting safe and responsible space activities.

"Finland has a long history of contributing to space exploration through innovative companies and research institutions," said Minister Rydman. "Joining the Artemis Accords will enhance our partnership with the United States and other allies, opening up new opportunities for the Finnish space sector to participate in the exciting era of lunar and planetary exploration."
