The curtain has risen on the '10th Cheonan World Christmas Festival,' which officially opened on December 13th, promising a variety of sights and programs for the holiday season. The festival, which will run for nearly two weeks, is set to conclude on December 25th.
Hosted by the Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Government and Cheonan City, and organized by the Cheonan City Christian Council and the Cheonan World Christmas Festival Organizing Committee, the event takes place at the Sibu Culture Park in Cheonan. The festival aims to celebrate the meaning of Christmas through culture and community engagement.
Governor Emphasizes Community Spirit at Opening Ceremony
Chungcheongnam-do Governor Kim Tae-heum attended the opening ceremony on the 13th, sharing the significance of the holiday with the residents. During his address, Governor Kim highlighted the Christian principle of love and community.
"I hope that, like the saying, 'Love your neighbor as yourself,' we can all reach out to one another and share warm hearts this year-end," Governor Kim remarked, urging attendees to embrace a spirit of charity and goodwill during the festive period.
