Dobong-gu, a district in Seoul, South Korea, under the leadership of Mayor Oh Eon-seok, has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Atlanta chapter of the World Korean Trade Association (OKTA Atlanta). The agreement, formalized on April 15th (local time) at the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, signifies a strategic alliance aimed at fostering trade and commerce between the district and the broader North American market.

The official signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Oh Eon-seok of Dobong-gu and Mr. Sun Park, President of OKTA Atlanta. Both parties expressed their commitment to diligently implementing the terms outlined in the MOU.

The collaborative agreement encompasses several key objectives, including the establishment of a mutual network within the trade and commerce sectors in the Americas, the sharing of vital trade and commercial information, support for the promotion of Dobong-gu’s initiatives and programs, and mutual cooperation in providing venues and operational assistance for events organized by both entities. This partnership is anticipated to create a robust bridge for businesses in Dobong-gu seeking to expand their reach into the United States market.

Mr. Sun Park, President of OKTA Atlanta, emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating, "With this agreement as a foundation, we will dedicate our utmost efforts to ensure that Dobong-gu’s promising startup enterprises can establish a presence in the trade center we plan to open in Atlanta. We aim to be a steadfast partner, facilitating their successful entry and growth within the American market, starting with Atlanta as a pivotal hub."
