The Korea Tourism Organization (President Park Sung-hyuk, hereinafter referred to as the KTO) will hold the highlight showcase of the performance tourism revitalization campaign, "Korea In Motion," on October 24–25 at the outdoor yard of HiKR Ground in Jung-gu, Seoul.
On the 24th, highlight stages of Korea’s representative premium performances will unfold consecutively, including non-verbal shows ▲NANTA and ▲Painters, as well as musicals ▲Finding Mr. Destiny, ▲Someday, and ▲Inside Me. On the 25th, along with NANTA and Painters, the lineup will welcome domestic and international audiences with a rich array of shows including musical ▲Dive, a Taekwondo performance, and the traditional Korean music (gugak) performance ▲Jinyeon.
Until November 30, the KTO is running the "Korea In Motion" campaign targeting foreign tourists to introduce Korea’s outstanding performances as tourism products and encourage visits to Korea. This outdoor showcase is part of the campaign, designed so that both domestic and international tourists can directly experience the essence of K-performances in one place—ranging from non-verbal shows with no language barriers to highly popular musicals. In addition, promotional booths will be operated on-site to add to the enjoyment of viewing the performances. Visitors can directly experience smart subtitle glasses and take special commemorative photos capturing the unique characteristics of each performance.
Baek Man-seong, head of the Hallyu Content Team at the KTO, stated, "K-performances are a powerful tourism-inducing factor that allows foreign tourists to directly experience Korea's dynamic culture and arts," adding, "This weekend, visitors will be able to enjoy Hallyu tourism content ranging from the K-performance outdoor showcase to the K-drama experience exhibition at HiKR Ground."
Meanwhile, on the 4th floor of HiKR Ground, a "K-Drama Experience Exhibition" in collaboration with Studio Dragon will also be running until November 19. Visitors can encounter famous lines, memorable scenes, OSTs, filming props, and shooting locations from over 40 popular dramas, including Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (Goblin), Mr. Sunshine, Hotel Del Luna, and Crash Landing on You, while enjoying the exhibition by collecting items such as famous line/scene postcards, record-shaped pieces, and prop stickers.
