Applications open until the 30th... 496 teams to be selected via random draw
Significantly expanded from last year... Programs to run for 13 types and 800 teams

Cheonan City announced on the 23rd that it is accepting pre-applications for the baking experience program of the "2026 Bbang Bbang Day Cheonan" festival until the 30th.

Hosted and organized by the city and the Cheonan City Branch of the Korea Confectionery Association, and sponsored by Chungcheongnam-do and Baekseok Culture University, the festival will be held for two days from October 17th to 18th around the Cheonan Stadium area.

In response to the increasing demand for experiences, the city expanded the operating scale from 8 types and 420 teams last year to 13 types and 800 teams this year.

Through pre-application, 496 teams will be selected via random draw, while participants beyond the pre-recruitment quota will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the festival site. The results of the pre-recruitment selection will be announced on the 7th of next month.

The experience programs consist of making walnut pastries, which are Cheonan's representative food, as well as mini donuts, bear cupcakes, and pizza making. Experiences of directly making traditional breads from 8 countries around the world will also be held.

Local confectionery businesses such as Tous les Jours (Tous les Jours Confectionery) and Cheonan Old Walnut Pastry, along with affiliated organizations such as Baekseok Culture University and the Cheonan Family Center, are participating in this experience.

Participation is free, and anyone aged 18 or older can apply by forming a team of 2 to 4 people. Detailed schedules and application methods can be checked on the official website and social network services (SNS).

"We have prepared a rich program where people can directly make and taste various breads, including walnut pastries," Cheonan Mayor Jang Ki-soo said. "We hope people create special memories with family, friends, and lovers."
