SAMCHOK — The Samcheok Tourism and Culture Foundation (Chairman Park Sang-soo) announced that it will operate a special Chuseok holiday program at the Isabu Dokdo Memorial Hall, offering a photo zone, an explorer passport tour, traditional games, and a family movie screening for visitors of all ages.

6-Meter Giant Isabu Photo Zone: An outdoor air-inflatable statue of General Isabu, standing approximately 6 meters tall, has been installed on the memorial grounds. Using the promotional slogan "So big, so cute," the foundation aims to present the giant general as a new attraction and photo zone while encouraging natural exploration of the memorial hall.
Isabu Night Cinema: On September 24 at 7:00 PM, the eve of Chuseok, the "2026 Isabu Culture Day - Isabu Night Cinema" will take place at Hall D of the Isabu Dokdo Memorial Hall. The family animation You Are Umasou 2: Happy Together will be screened. Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 150 people without prior reservation.

Isabu Explorer Passport Tour: A passport tour spanning from Hall A to Hall D will challenge participants to complete four missions: taking a commemorative photo with Isabu, solving an Isabu quiz, solving a Dokdo marine life quiz, and solving a Dokdo weather quiz.
Limited Edition Souvenirs and Traditional Games: Participants who complete all missions will receive a "Dokdo DIY Keycap 4-Piece Set." The souvenir is limited to 600 total sets (one per person) and will be distributed until supplies last. Outdoor areas will also feature traditional Korean games such as yutnori, tuho (arrow throwing), and jegichagi (footbag).
Yoo Jae-hyun, Secretary General of the Samcheok Tourism and Culture Foundation, stated, "We hope the Isabu Dokdo Memorial Hall becomes a playground for children and a space for adults to create precious family memories this Chuseok. We have prepared a rich lineup including the 6-meter General Isabu, passport tour, traditional games, and movies for the whole family to enjoy together."

Meanwhile, through this Chuseok program, the foundation plans to operate stay-oriented content encompassing viewing, experiencing, photography, and film screenings. By maximizing the utilization of both indoor and outdoor spaces, including Hall D, the foundation aims to extend visitor stay duration and revitalize the space.
