Singapore – Cygnet Gin, a premium Welsh gin brand co-founded by classical music diva Katherine Jenkins OBE, has announced its grand debut in the Asian market on March 10, 2025, in Singapore. This marks the first step in Cygnet Gin's ambitious global expansion plans, building on its successful growth within the UK.
The Singapore launch comes after Cygnet Gin strengthened its position in the global luxury gin market by appointing Matteo Fantacchiotti, former Global CEO of Campari Group, as partner and Chairman of the Board in December 2024. Fantacchiotti stated, "Singapore, a city I called home for ten years, is the perfect city to introduce Cygnet Gin, which embodies craftsmanship, quality, and innovation." He also revealed, "This launch marks the beginning of our 2025 'City Strategy,' where we will introduce Cygnet Gin to key global capitals, following the footsteps of luxury consumers."
Cygnet Gin's official Singapore debut took place at the 'Great in the Gardens concert' held at the Singapore Botanic Gardens on March 8th. The event, hosted by the British High Commissioner and the Tanglin Symphony Orchestra, allowed attendees to enjoy Cygnet 22 Gin & Tonics at the Cygnet Bar located within the Botanic Gardens and Orchard Plaza, while also enjoying a classical music performance headlined by Katherine Jenkins.
Cygnet Gin has been increasing its brand recognition by entering renowned bars and restaurants in London, such as Gaucho, Labo, and Sexy Fish, in 2024, and has been expanding its consumer reach through major UK retail networks like Fortnum & Mason and M&S.
Cygnet Gin's flagship product, 'Cygnet 22,' boasts a unique flavor profile due to its key ingredient, Manuka honey. Katherine Jenkins, who regularly uses Manuka honey for throat care, collaborated with a 6th generation distilling team to create a gin that embodies quality and elegance. Jenkins stated, "I wanted to create a gin that can be enjoyed on its own, without needing to mask the flavor with sugar additives."
In January 2025, Cygnet Gin moved its production facilities to the Penderyn Copperworks Distillery in Swansea, Wales, to increase production efficiency and further enhance quality control. With Singapore as its starting point, Cygnet Gin is expected to become available in more global capitals in the future.
