JEONJU, South Korea – In a strategic move to amplify the international presence of regional businesses, the Jeonbuk Economic Promotion Agency (JEPA) has launched the "2025 Overseas E-commerce Platform Marketing Support Program." This initiative aims to equip small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province with the necessary tools and resources to thrive in the competitive global online marketplace.
Under the leadership of President Yoon Yeo-bong, JEPA is offering substantial financial assistance, providing up to 3.3 million KRW per selected company. This funding is specifically earmarked for a range of essential online marketing activities, including keyword and in-app advertising, search engine marketing (SEM/SEO), influencer collaborations, and live commerce. These strategies are critical for SMEs looking to effectively penetrate and succeed in the dynamic world of overseas e-commerce.
The program targets SMEs already operating on major international platforms such as Alibaba, Shopee, and eBay. A rigorous selection process will identify 20 eligible companies based on factors such as export infrastructure, product competitiveness, possession of overseas certifications, and business implementation will. Applicants must achieve a minimum score of 60 points to qualify, with final selections made based on the highest scores.
Applications for the program are open until April 11, 2025, with the final selections announced in the 5th week of April. Successful applicants will be notified through the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Export Integrated Support System and the JEPA official website.
"E-commerce has become an indispensable channel for businesses seeking international expansion," stated a JEPA representative. "This program is designed to provide Jeonbuk SMEs with the targeted support they need to navigate the complexities of overseas markets and achieve sustainable growth."
This initiative underscores JEPA’s commitment to fostering economic development within the province by empowering local businesses to compete effectively on a global scale. Interested SMEs are encouraged to visit the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Export Integrated Support System and the JEPA official website for comprehensive program details and application procedures.
