SEOUL — Sejong Special Self-Governing City is making its mark on South Korea’s culinary landscape. The Sejong Agricultural Technology Center announced its participation in Food Week Korea 2026 (the 21st Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition), running from November 4 to 7 at COEX in Seoul.
As the country’s largest comprehensive food exhibition, Food Week Korea brings together domestic and international stakeholders to spotlight future food trends, ranging from premium artisan products and alternative foods to manufacturing automation, smart logistics, and farm-tech innovations.
To represent the region, the Sejong Agricultural Technology Center has teamed up with three standout local food and beverage enterprises:
Maison Sabati: Known for crafting traditional beverages using locally harvested Saetongmu rice and custom-cultivated yeast (nuruk), Maison Sabati produces artisan alcohol that highlights authentic flavors without any artificial additives.
Gugjuk Brewery: A historic, four-generation brewery that has expanded its heritage craft by fermenting locally grown Sejong peaches to introduce a unique, premium distilled liquor.
Hyeonjeong: Specializing in delightful confectioneries, Hyeonjeong utilizes the famous Jochiwon peach—both as a concentrated juice and powder—to create popular, chewy snacks and peach popsicles.
"We hope this exhibition serves as a vital stepping stone for our region's top-tier food processors to showcase their competitiveness and break into broader domestic and global markets," said Pi Ok-ja, Director of the Sejong Agricultural Technology Center. "Moving forward, we remain fully committed to nurturing the local agri-food industry through multi-faceted support systems closely tied to regional agriculture."
