The "16th Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor’s International Beauty Therapy Competition" will be held from the 6th to the 7th at the Gumi Saemaul Movement Theme Park. It is sponsored by Gyeongsangbuk-do and organized by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Branch of the Korea Skin Care Professionals Association.
A total of 110 contestants across three divisions—high school, university, and general—will compete in 10 categories, including face, body, special care, eyelash, nail, makeup, and scalp and foot care.
The competition was designed to discover talented skin care professionals and enhance the competitiveness of the regional beauty industry.
On the 7th, a beauty industry expo will take place to share related products and technological information. Additionally, public health laws and hygiene management training will be provided for approximately 300 skin care business owners and others.
Kim Nam-ju, Head of the Health Policy Division at Gyeongsangbuk-do, stated, "Skin care goes beyond cultivating external beauty; it is an important field that imparts confidence and vitality to people. I hope this competition serves as an opportunity to elevate the capabilities of beauty professionals and help Gyeongbuk's beauty industry take a leap forward."
