Seoul, South Korea – Yoon Ina has clinched the coveted Player of the Year award at the 2024 KLPGA Awards, along with the money title and lowest scoring average. The young golfer, who overcame a suspension due to an on-course incident in 2022, made a triumphant return to the tour this year, dominating her competitors with exceptional performances.

At the awards ceremony held in Seoul, Yoon Ina expressed her gratitude to her parents, crediting their unwavering support for her success. "I will strive to become an even better player," she vowed.

Yoon Ina secured her status as the top player in the KLPGA by recording one victory, four runner-up finishes, and three third-place finishes throughout the season. Her consistent performance earned her the highest number of points in the Player of the Year race, along with the highest total earnings and the lowest scoring average.

Joining an elite group of golfers, including Kang Su-yeon, Shin Ji-ae, and Park In-bee, Yoon Ina became the 10th player to win all three major titles in a single season.

The awards ceremony also saw several other notable achievements. Yu Hyun-jo, who won the major KB Financial Star Championship, was named Rookie of the Year. A record five players—Ma Da-som, Park Ji-young, Park Hyun-kyung, Bae So-hyun, and Lee Ye-won—tied for the most wins in a season with three victories each. Bae So-hyun was also honored with the Most Improved Player award.

Huang Yu-min won the Popularity Award, securing the most votes from fans.

The KLPGA also recognized players who achieved their first wins this season, as well as winners of the Dream Tour and Champions Tour.

Yoon Ina, who will be competing in the LPGA Tour Q-Series next month, expressed her determination to win Rookie of the Year on the LPGA Tour.
