Daejeon, South Korea – Hankook Tire & Technology, a subsidiary of Hankook & Company Group, announced that it held its annual “Heartfelt Gift Package” event on January 22nd and 23rd at its Daejeon and Geumsan plants.
The event was organized to provide much-needed relief to underprivileged members of the local communities during the Lunar New Year holiday. Employees at both plants voluntarily contributed to the preparation of gift packages filled with essential items.
These packages were distributed to low-income households, particularly those of elderly individuals living alone, through the Daejeon Deokgu Volunteer Center and the Geumsan Jeweon-myeon Administrative Welfare Center.
“We hope that the items prepared with care by our employees will help our neighbors in need enjoy a warm and happy Lunar New Year,” said Seo Eui-don, Head of Safety and Production Technology at Hankook Tire. “Hankook Tire will continue to carry out various social contribution activities to provide hope and support to those in need.”
