Following the successful completion of the first-half program, the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation (led by Acting President Lee Han-su) has officially relaunched its mobile stamp tour utilizing the smart tourism electronic map for the second half of the year. Aligned with the "2026 Chungnam Visit Year," this initiative aims to digitalize local tourism resources, maximize traveler convenience, and invigorate the regional economy.

The "Chungnam Smart Tourism Electronic Map" is a comprehensive mobile service designed to provide travelers with instant access to hidden gems, local eateries, accommodations, and hands-on experience programs. Equipped with real-time GPS tracking, the application seamlessly links visitors to public transportation and navigation systems for optimal route planning. Moving beyond a conventional digital guide, the Foundation plans to integrate advanced features such as AI chatbot assistance and quiz-based tours, evolving the platform into an all-in-one digital smart tourism hub for the province.

The second-half stamp tour focuses on seven key cities and counties—Seosan, Nonsan, Gyeryong, Cheongyang, Hongseong, Taean, and Seocheon—offering localized courses tailored to each region’s unique characteristics. Alongside city-specific itineraries connecting major landmarks with experiential activities, the program continues its eco-friendly exploration course. This sustainable route links vital ecological assets across the province, including the Chungnam Stork Park and the Shinduri Coastal Sand Dunes, encouraging longer visitor stays and repeat regional exploration.

A series of special themed courses have also been newly introduced, connecting tourism transit networks and major international events. These include the "DRT Baekje Cultural Course" combining Demand-Responsive Transport with the historic Baekje cultural zone in Gongju and Buyeo, a Dangjin Catholic pilgrimage route linked to the 2027 Seoul World Youth Day (WYD), and a Nonsan-specialized travel course tied to the upcoming 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo. These additions are expected to enhance the utility of the electronic map and actively stimulate cross-regional movement and revisitation.

Participating in the event is remarkably straightforward. Visitors can download the "Chungnam Smart Tourism Electronic Map" application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, launch the stamp tour feature, and visit designated locations where GPS technology automatically logs stamps.

Upon completing a course, participants can capture their automatically generated completion certificate and upload it to personal social media channels (such as Instagram or Facebook Stories) accompanied by mandatory hashtags like #ChungnamTourism and #ChungnamVisitYear. Submitting the captured screen via a designated Google Form finalizes the entry. For special themed courses, an additional mission requiring users to upload a self-taken photograph at the site is mandatory. Successful participants will receive mobile gift vouchers based on the difficulty level of each course. The event runs through November, operating on a first-come, first-served basis within limited regional budgets.

A representative from the Chungnam Culture and Tourism Foundation expressed enthusiasm, noting that the smart tourism electronic map allows visitors to experience Chungnam's diverse charms with unprecedented ease and convenience. The official reaffirmed the Foundation's commitment to combining differentiated content with cutting-edge smart technology to establish Chungnam as a destination travelers will continually wish to revisit.

For those looking to get started, the Chungnam Smart Tourism Electronic Map can be easily accessed by searching for the platform on major web portals, visiting the Chungnam Smart Tourism Electronic Map Website, or scanning the QR codes featured on promotional leaflets.
