Jeongdawa Publishing announced on June 4th the release of "Terere's Land, Paraguay – A Missionary's Tear-Jerking Yet Joyful 37-Year Journey," a book by Pastor Lee Jeong-geon.

This book compiles the experiences, cultural relics, and landscapes encountered by Pastor Lee Jeong-geon during his missionary work in Paraguay, a barren land for the gospel, after being dispatched there in March 1989 as a missionary under the Kosin denomination. Pastor Lee previously worked in public relations for Daewoong Pharmaceutical, Hanmi Pharmaceutical, and Kwangdong Pharmaceutical, and is the twin brother of Lee Jeong-baek, the current CEO of Olive Ad, an advertising and public relations agency.

Pastor Lee Jeong-geon, the author, stated, "I could hardly find any books introducing Paraguay in the travel guide section of domestic bookstores, so as I approached retirement as a missionary, I decided to write this book to share my experiences living in Paraguay."

The book vividly captures the stories Pastor Lee heard and experienced firsthand during his 37 years as a dedicated missionary, along with the mountains, rivers, cities, and food of Paraguay.

The publisher explained that "Terere," which appears in the book's title, is a unique Paraguayan tea beverage. It's a traditional tea culture where "yerba" powder and various herbs are put into a tea container, cold ice water is poured in, and then it's drunk through a straw while rotating it, thus affirming the community of family and neighbors.
