SEOUL – Chaeyoung of the globally popular K-pop group TWICE is set to make her official solo debut, marking her ten-year anniversary since her debut. According to JYP Entertainment, the artist's first solo album will be released on September 12, 2025, at 1 PM KST.
Chaeyoung is the fourth member of TWICE to embark on a solo career, following fellow members Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu. Her solo debut has been a long-awaited event for fans who have followed her artistic growth over the years.
To build anticipation, JYP Entertainment released a video on their official social media channels, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the album's production. The video shows Chaeyoung collaborating with the Japanese pop band Gliiico, highlighting her hands-on involvement in the creative process. Clips of her playing the piano and freely grooving to rhythms further amplify excitement for the unique sound she will present.
In addition to her upcoming solo work, Chaeyoung recently showcased her vocal prowess by participating in the soundtrack for the popular Netflix animated series "KPop Demon Hunters" alongside TWICE members Jihyo and Jeongyeon.
Meanwhile, TWICE continues to be active as a group. Last month, they released their fourth full-length album, "THIS IS FOR," and are currently on a new world tour. The group recently made a significant appearance as a headliner at Lollapalooza Chicago, where they captivated a massive crowd with some of their biggest hits, including "Dance The Night Away" and "What is Love?" This continued success as a group, paired with the members' solo activities, highlights the dynamic and multifaceted nature of TWICE's career.
