Seoul, South Korea – Starbucks Korea is introducing a new subscription service, "Buddy Pass," starting December 2nd to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
For a monthly fee of 7,900 won, subscribers to the Buddy Pass can enjoy a 30% discount on any handcrafted beverage after 2 PM daily. Additionally, subscribers will receive coupons for a 30% discount on food items, free delivery fees on Delivers, and free shipping on online store orders.
The company revealed that during the pilot program launched in October, the average monthly visit frequency of subscribers increased by more than 50%. The estimated value of benefits received by subscribers during the pilot program was approximately 23,300 won per month.
Based on the positive customer response, Starbucks has decided to reduce the monthly subscription fee from 9,900 won to 7,900 won. Furthermore, customers who participated in the pilot program and agree to extend their subscription will receive a free coupon for one tall-sized Americano or cafe latte starting November 27th.
"We are thrilled to officially launch the Buddy Pass to offer our loyal customers more value and benefits," said a Starbucks spokesperson. "We will continue to enhance the program to provide our customers with differentiated experiences and benefits."
