Gyeongnam, South Korea – Gyeongnam Province is taking proactive steps to bolster its consumer goods export sector amidst growing global trade uncertainties. The province has announced a recruitment drive for six local companies to participate in the prestigious '23rd World Korean Business Convention 2025', scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, from April 17th to 20th.
This initiative aims to provide local businesses with a platform to expand their global networks and tap into the lucrative US market. The convention, a major event for overseas Korean business communities, is expected to attract around 4,000 companies and 50,000 attendees.
Participating companies will receive comprehensive support, including business matchmaking with potential buyers, individual exhibition booths, partial coverage of travel and interpretation costs, and opportunities to engage in seminars, business meetings, and startup competitions.
Gyeongnam Province is particularly interested in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises with a focus on consumer goods. Companies holding relevant US certifications, such as FDA, FCC, and UL, will be given priority in the selection process.
The application period runs from February 10th to 19th, with the final selection of participating companies to be completed by the end of the month. Interested businesses can find more information and apply online through the Gyeongsangnam-do Overseas Marketing Support System website.
This initiative reflects Gyeongnam Province's commitment to supporting local businesses in navigating challenging global trade conditions and fostering their growth in international markets.
