Bucheon Municipal Library to Host 'Family Trip with Books' for Summer Vacation

Bucheon Municipal Library announced on the 22nd that it will operate various reading and culture programs and events for children, teenagers, and entire families to enjoy together throughout August for the summer vacation.
These programs encompass not only reading but also play, hands-on experiences, and arts, aiming to foster children's creativity and critical thinking skills while strengthening family bonds.
Key programs by library include: △ "Growing Hearts Summer Masterpiece Camp" (Sangdong) △ "English Book Club: Summer" (Byeolbitmaru) △ "Imagination-Filled Summer Book Play" (Suju) △ "Summer Reading Class" (Kkumbit) △ "Maker Class with Family" (Wonmi) △ "World Festival Travel with Book Arts" (Dodang) △ "Exciting Retro Summer Science Class" (Songnae) △ "Curious About the Principles of Science?" (Kkumyeoul) △ "Havruta for Writing Growth!" (Ojeong) △ "Animal Friends Meet Through Board Games" (Yeokgok), and more.
In addition, various events will be held, including "Clear Overdues, Borrow Right Away," which offers benefits for clearing overdue books. Other events include: △ "Book-cation with Bucheon Books" (Suju) △ "Mystery Book Lending Event" (Chaekmaru) △ "All-You-Can-Borrow Comic Series Event" (Ojeong), which are expected to provide unique fun for library visitors.
Book curation and original artwork exhibitions reflecting seasonal and timely characteristics like summer and Gwangbok (Liberation Day) will also be held. These are designed to allow users to naturally encounter various books and content within the library, adding to the joy of reading.
A Bucheon City official stated, "These summer vacation programs are composed of beneficial activities that children and families can participate in together," adding, "We hope the library establishes itself as a cultural space for sharing knowledge and experiences."
