GRAND RAPIDS, MI – In a strategic move to solidify its presence in the global automation market, BRILS, a leading South Korean robotics firm, announced on April 8, 2026, the establishment of its U.S. subsidiary, BRILS USA LLC. Located in Kentwood, Michigan—near the industrial hub of Grand Rapids—the new facility spans approximately 6,434 square meters (approx. 70,000 sq. ft.) and serves as a vital bridgehead for the company’s expansion into the North American market.

The selection of Grand Rapids is no coincidence. As Michigan’s second-largest city after Detroit, it is widely recognized as a center for manufacturing innovation. The region boasts a dense concentration of automotive giants and vendors, including 61 of the top 100 automotive parts suppliers in the state.

BRILS plans to leverage this location to address the most pressing challenges currently facing North American manufacturers:

BRILS has already demonstrated its competitive edge by securing high-profile projects from global industry leaders, including Hyundai Motor Company, Hyundai Transys, Brose, Means, Hanse Mobility, and Nifco. The company’s growth trajectory is steep; last year, exports accounted for 37% of its total revenue, with successful operations spanning the U.S., Mexico, the Czech Republic, and India.
