A. Young FBC, a leading comprehensive beverage company, has unveiled the monumental Benromach 50 Years Old, a single malt Scotch whisky, in Korea. This extremely limited edition whisky, priced at 50 million KRW, marks a significant milestone in the history of Benromach.
Hailing from the Benromach Distillery in the Scottish Highlands, this exceptional single malt has been patiently aged for half a century. Matured since December 1972, only 248 bottles of this exquisite spirit were produced.
Renowned for its classic single malt whiskies, Benromach has been crafting spirits since 1898. Acquired and revitalized by the world-renowned independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail in 1993, Benromach has garnered a global following for its commitment to traditional, natural production methods. The distillery's name, Benromach, is Gaelic for "wooded hill," reflecting its commitment to sustainability and nature.
The 50-year-old expression boasts a complex and alluring flavor profile. Aromas of ripe strawberries, zesty citrus peel, and pineapple mingle with notes of fruit cake, lemon sorbet, and aged leather. The palate reveals flavors of medjool dates, banana flambé, and toasted almonds, accompanied by hints of black pepper and smoke. The finish is long and satisfying.
To complement the exceptional whisky, the decanter is a work of art in itself. Crafted by Glasshouse, the oldest glass studio in the UK, using the ancient battuto technique, each decanter is a unique, hand-blown masterpiece.
“The Benromach 50 Years Old is the culmination of Gordon & MacPhail’s expertise and passion for whisky,” said [Name], a representative of the Benromach brand. “With only 248 bottles available worldwide, this is a truly special release that is sure to inspire whisky enthusiasts around the globe.”
Other popular expressions from Benromach include the 10, 15, and 21-year-old bottlings, as well as the cask strength version. The cask strength expression, distilled in 2009, offers an exotic spice and fruit character, along with a bold peaty finish.
