SEOUL — The Seoul Metropolitan Government and local administrative districts have entered a state of heightened vigilance as the global pop sensation BTS prepares to hold a historic comeback performance at Gwanghwamun Square. The event, scheduled for March 21, 2026, marks the group’s return to the domestic stage after a hiatus of approximately three years and nine months, prompting a massive mobilization of city resources to ensure public safety and logistical efficiency.

According to municipal authorities and the Seoul Metro, a series of emergency coordination meetings commenced this week following the city’s decision to grant conditional approval for the event, titled "BTS 2026 Comeback Show @ Seoul." The municipal government has mandated rigorous supplementary measures as a prerequisite for final approval. These include:
