- Leading MICE Organizations and Companies from Daejeon and Chungcheong Gather to Discuss Vision and Cooperation
The Daejeon Metropolitan City, in collaboration with the Daejeon Tourism Organization, hosted the ‘2025 Daejeon Chungcheong MICE Alliance Annual General Meeting and Workshop Camp’ at the Boryeong Mud Theme Park to promote the development of the global MICE industry. *MICE : Meeting, Incentive tour, Convention, Exhibition / DCMA : Daejeon Chungchung Mice Alliance
Under the theme ‘ONE DCMA! Exploring Win-Win Strategies for Daejeon and Chungcheong MICE through Co-evolutionary Strategies,’ this event provided a platform for communication and exchange, bringing together MICE Alliance member companies and related organization representatives from Daejeon and the Chungcheong region. Participants jointly explored the future direction of the MICE industry and discussed practical cooperation measures.
The main program featured a lecture on ‘Daejeon and Chungcheong Local Tourism Content Strategies for Becoming MICE Cities with Strong Brands,’ sharing MICE strategies utilizing regional tourism resources and measures to revitalize the local economy. Notably, there was a meaningful session dedicated to introducing and mutually exchanging insights on the operational experiences and success know-how of the Daejeon 0 o'Clock Festival and the Boryeong Mud Festival.
This annual general meeting and workshop camp are expected to further solidify the network among DCMA member companies, strengthen inter-regional cooperation, and ultimately enhance the competitiveness of the Daejeon and Chungcheong MICE industry.
Jeon Il-hong, Director-General of Culture, Arts, and Tourism Bureau of Daejeon Metropolitan City, stated, “This annual general meeting was a significant occasion where Daejeon and Chungcheong came together to jointly design a new leap forward for the MICE industry. We will continue to provide unwavering support to maximize synergy between regions through close cooperation and networking, and to establish Daejeon as a global MICE hub.”
