‘Omegame Gyeongsang-do 3 Mountains, 3 Colors’ Linked Palgongsan Tourism Exchange Fam Tour Held

The Busan Tourism Organization (President Lee Jeong-sil, hereinafter referred to as the "Organization") announced on the 21st that it held a tourism exchange program visiting Palgongsan Mountain in Daegu on the 19th, accompanied by 35 participants in connection with the 「Omegame Gyeongsang-do 3 Mountains, 3 Colors Tracking Challenge」.

This program was designed to connect online challenges with actual regional visits and travel. Departing from Busan, participants visited the Gatbawi area of Palgongsan Mountain. Following a welcome event and course guidance by officials from the Daegu Culture and Arts Foundation and the Eastern Regional Headquarters of the Korea National Park Service, they engaged in a Gatbawi trekking activity, directly experiencing the natural and tourism resources of Palgongsan.

The 「Omegame Gyeongsang-do 3 Mountains, 3 Colors Tracking Challenge」 is a program designed to connect regional mountain tourism resources into a single participatory content, allowing participants to directly visit, walk through, and verify regions to experience new travel destinations. This visit to Palgongsan is significant in that it expanded online participation into actual inter-regional tourism exchange through an on-site program.

The Organization plans to invite Daegu-based participants to Busan on October 17th to hold a Geumjeongsan Mountain trekking program. Through this "cross-visit tourism exchange," where Daegu participants visit Geumjeongsan following the September visit of Busan participants to Palgongsan, tourists from both regions will experience each other's mountains and tourism resources.

In particular, through this program, Busan intends to move beyond its ocean-centric tourism image, promote trekking and outdoor tourism contents including Geumjeongsan as a new way to travel in Busan, and further expand tourism experiences by linking local tourist attractions, culinary options, and cultural contents around the mountains in the future.

An official from the Organization stated, "This visit to Palgongsan is meaningful in that the online challenge led to actual regional visits and travel. We will continue this through the Geumjeongsan exchange in October to create a tourism exchange where people can directly experience each other's regions and discover new travel destinations."
