2025 Republic of Korea Green Climate Awards Call for Entries

The National Assembly Climate Change Forum, which pursues national climate change response legislative and policy governance, is accepting applications for the '2025 Republic of Korea Green Climate Awards' from January 6th to 31st. Established in 2010, this is the 15th year.
The 'Republic of Korea Green Climate Awards' were established to encourage the activities of organizations and individuals who have contributed to climate change response and the promotion of a sustainable carbon-neutral society, and to spread best practices.
The Grand Prize, the Speaker of the National Assembly Award, has been awarded to a total of 11 local governments, companies, and individuals over the past 14 years. The Excellence Award is given to the Minister of Government Ministries and the Chairperson of the relevant National Assembly Standing Committee by category, and the Encouragement Award is given to the Co-Chairperson of the National Assembly Climate Change Forum.
There are a total of 7 categories for the competition: public, diplomacy, autonomy, corporate, civic, education, and media. △ Public institutions that develop climate change policies and practice in the public sector △ Public officials or experts who enhance diplomatic status through climate diplomacy negotiations and cooperation △ Companies that contribute to greenhouse gas reduction and sustainable green climate industry development △ Local governments that lead the realization of carbon neutrality and green cities △ Citizens (students) and schools or clubs that provide climate change response education and practice △ Media that contributes to spreading awareness of climate crisis Anyone who has contributed to climate change response and carbon-neutral practice can apply.
Winners will be selected in mid-February through preliminary and final reviews based on climate relevance, continuity, sustainability, activity performance, additional original work, creativity, social participation, and performance compared to capabilities.
