This initiative aims to transform Samcheok Beach, which attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, into an even more satisfying leisure destination.

 
Prioritizing the Vulnerable, Expanding Rest and Play Areas

This year, Samcheok Beach stands out for its consideration for the socially vulnerable. Palm tree mats have been installed, allowing wheelchair and stroller users to access the sea more easily. This significant change enhances mobility, ensuring all visitors can enjoy the beach without inconvenience.

Furthermore, old bollard lights have been replaced with bench-type lights, creating new resting areas. These not only serve as lighting but also provide cozy spaces for visitors to relax, enhancing the beach's aesthetic appeal. Convenience for family visitors has also been significantly improved. An air bounce play facility for children has been set up, providing a safe space for kids to play while parents can relax more comfortably.

In addition to Samcheok Beach, the city is completing convenience facility reinforcement and environmental maintenance at other beaches within its jurisdiction.
