The city of Busan (Mayor Jeon Jae-soo) announced that it will host the second-half financial special lecture series, "Busan Youth, Smartly Gathering (YoungGGle) Instead of Debt-Fueled Investment (Bit-too) Classes," starting October 19 for a total of three sessions to help youth achieve economic independence.
Prepared jointly by the city, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Busan Employers Federation, and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, this event was designed to spread a culture of sound asset formation among youth. It delivers the message of avoiding "bit-too" (reckless borrowing for investment) and instead "smartly gathering assets" based on knowledge.
Building on the first-half lectures, which received an enthusiastic response from some 1,600 youths, the second-half program has further upgraded its lecture contents to enable practical preparation for the future in tune with the rapidly changing technological and economic environment.
The special lectures will kick off on October 19 at the main auditorium on the 1st floor of City Hall, targeting a total of 1,500 youths (500 per session). Key experts in three major fields—basics, finance, and future assets—will take the podium.
(Session 1 / Oct. 19) FinTech YouTuber "Kim Jjan-bu (Kim Ji-eun)" will pass on seed money accumulation know-how under the theme "From Empty Accounts to Bank Accounts: 200% Utilization of a Rookie's First Paycheck," covering account splitting and practical small-scale investment methods.
(Session 2 / Nov. 4) Park Jong-hoon, Director of the Knowledge Economy Research Institute, will outline macroeconomic trends and investment mental management methods that remain unshaken under the theme "Understanding the Economy Reveals Investments."
(Session 3 / Nov. 30) Brain scientist Kim Dae-shik, a professor at KAIST, will analyze the impact of the artificial intelligence revolution on youth jobs and present strategies for reorganizing asset portfolios suited for the era under the theme "Survival Strategy in the AGI Era!"
In addition, prior to the start of each lecture, the city plans to actively guide attendees through major youth support policies—including the "Busan Youth 3-Tier Growth Ladder"—to enhance policy satisfaction and awareness.
Any youth residing in Busan can participate, and applications can be made on a first-come, first-served basis according to the schedule for each session via the official "Busan Youth YoungGGle" website (부산청년영리끌.kr). Same-day on-site registration will also be available if remaining seats permit.
For further details, please refer to the official website (부산청년영리끌.kr) or contact the Busan Employers Federation (☎ 051-803-5632).
Mayor Jeon Jae-soo emphasized, "Building on the passionate response of young people to our first-half lectures, we have prepared second-half lectures to help practical independence amid rapidly changing AI and economic environments," adding, "We will solidly back Busan's youth so that they can smartly design their futures and settle down stably amidst uncertainty."
