Families and couples can float LED boats carrying their wishes... Operating every evening starting at 6:30 PM

If you are visiting Yeosu with your family or partner during the Chuseok holiday, why not add a special memory after sunset? The 2026 Yeosu World Island Fair is presenting the "Wishes Boat" experience, allowing visitors to enjoy the romantic atmosphere of an autumn night.

The 2026 Yeosu World Island Fair Organizing Committee announced that it is operating a variety of nocturnal content so that visitors can leisurely enjoy the fairgrounds from day to night ahead of the Chuseok holiday starting on the 24th. Among them, the "Floating Wishes Boats with Dasomi" program, held at the island theme zone waterway, is providing a special autumn night experience for family and couple visitors.

■ "What is our family's wish?"... Boats carrying wishes float down the autumn night waterway

The "Wishes Boat" is an interactive program where visitors can write down their personal wishes or supportive messages for family and friends, place them inside an LED boat, and float them along the waterway in the main event's island theme zone.

The program, which kicked off on the 19th, runs daily from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM until November 4th. Starting with a capacity of 100 participants per day, operations are managed flexibly based on on-site demand. As darkness falls, the LED boats on the waterway emit a soft glow, creating a breathtaking scenery. During the opening weekend, families waiting for concerts were seen holding their children's hands to float the boats throughout the evening. 

During the Chuseok holiday, this program is expected to naturally tie into the meaning of the holiday, as families gather to pray for health and happiness and share heartfelt feelings with loved ones they haven't seen in a while. In addition, a message event displaying citizen-submitted messages of gratitude and encouragement on the 20-meter-high media facade of the theme island will run concurrently, filling the same night with wishes on the water and stories on the wall. 

■ Experiences by Day, Performances by Night... Extending Visitors' Stay at the Fairgrounds

In addition to the "Wishes Boat," various contents to enjoy the autumn night continue across the fairgrounds.

Visitors are recommended to spend their days exploring exhibition halls such as the Theme Island, Marine Ecology Island, and Treasure Island, and participating in exhibition and experience programs. As the sun sets, strolling while enjoying the scenery and sunsets around the venue, followed by evening performances and night contents, makes for a well-rounded day.

In particular, the "Autumn Night Romantic Theater" (watching movies using the theme island media facade as a screen for about two hours starting at 6:00 PM daily), "Autumn Night Romantic Picnic" (spreading mats on the lawn in front of the open stage to enjoy the sunset), and "Autumn Night Romantic Busking" are operated, allowing visitors to enjoy a nightscape different from the daytime.

Furthermore, the night admission ticket available from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (priced at 8,000 KRW for adults, with a 50% discount for local residents) is worth utilizing for visitors heading to the fairgrounds after work for an evening outing. Also, holders of same-day admission tickets can re-enter until 8:30 PM simply by getting a confirmation stamp, making it possible to tour the exhibition halls during the day, look around downtown Yeosu, and return at dusk to participate in floating the wishes boats.

Meanwhile, a series of performances will run throughout the four-day Chuseok holiday, starting with a K-POP concert featuring QWER, ONEWE, and Cherry Filter at 7:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, alongside the traditional musical "Baekdo Cruise," traditional performances from East Timor and the Philippines, and dance & EDM night shows, making it an ideal destination to enjoy the Chuseok holiday.
