Hyundai Livart, a leading premium furniture and lifestyle brand in South Korea, announced on March 6th that it is officially opening its doors for the '2026 Dream Workshop (Kkum-jak-so) Art Challenge.' This annual children's art competition, which has become a staple cultural event for the brand, will accept submissions from now through March 22nd.

Cultivating Creativity in the "Dream Workshop"
The name "Dream Workshop" (a portmanteau of the Korean words for 'Dream' and 'Workshop') reflects the brand’s philosophy of viewing the home not just as a living space, but as a sanctuary where the essence of furniture is constantly reimagined.

Now in its third consecutive year since its inception in 2024, the Art Challenge serves as a strategic customer-engagement initiative designed to broaden brand awareness while fostering the creative growth of the younger generation.

2026 Theme: "The Laboratory of My Dreams"
This year’s competition invites children to explore the theme: "A Laboratory Filled with My Dreams." Participants are encouraged to transform familiar domestic spaces—such as the living room or their own bedrooms—into imaginative "mini-laboratories" where dreams and curiosity take flight. Entries can be submitted in various formats, including paintings, drawings, or 3D sculptures.

Important Note on Originality: To ensure a fair and authentic competition, artworks generated by Artificial Intelligence (AI) are strictly prohibited. Additionally, works previously submitted to other contests or those infringing on third-party copyrights or portrait rights will be disqualified.

Participation Details and Schedule
The competition is open to all members of 'Livart Members' (Hyundai Livart’s integrated online and offline membership) who have children ranging from age 4 to 6th grade in elementary school.

Submission Categories:

-Preschool Division: Children aged 4 and above (pre-elementary).
-Lower Elementary Division: Grades 1 through 3.
-Upper Elementary Division: Grades 4 through 6.
How to Apply: Entries must be submitted through the official event page on the 'Livart Mall' (the brand's online shopping platform).

Judging and Results: A prestigious panel consisting of members from the Korean Fine Arts Association and professors from leading art universities will evaluate the submissions. A total of 100 winning entries will be selected based on creativity, expression, and relevance to the theme. The final results are scheduled to be announced on the Livart Mall website on April 30th.

Why This Matters
Hyundai Livart’s initiative represents a shift in how furniture brands interact with consumers. By moving beyond simple retail transactions, the company is positioning itself as a partner in a child's developmental journey. By encouraging children to view their home environments as "laboratories," Livart reinforces the idea that well-designed spaces can spark innovation and joy.

Through the '2026 Dream Workshop Art Challenge,' Hyundai Livart continues to solidify its identity as a brand that deeply values the intersection of lifestyle, art, and the future dreams of its youngest customers.
