Over 200 job seekers and executives from 2 youth-friendly companies participated
Honest discussions held on everything from job preparation to workplace life and local settlement

 
On the 29th, Daejeon City hosted "Job Talk Live," an event bringing together young people and current professionals at the Daedeok Hall of the International Cultural Center at Chungnam National University, to exchange diverse views on youth employment and career paths.

"Job Talk Live" is part of the "Daejeon-Style Youth Settlement Comprehensive Employment Project," which has been promoted since 2024 to improve young people's perception of local companies and support their growth and settlement in the region.

Through this initiative, Daejeon City selects "Youth-Attracting Companies (Chung-Keul-Gi-Up)"—companies favored by young people for their excellent wages, welfare, working environments, and growth potential. From 2024 through September of this year, a cumulative total of 50 companies have joined forces with the city to address local youth employment issues.

At the event, 5 representatives—including C-level executives, HR managers, and senior employees from 2 youth-attracting companies, Alteogen Inc. and Inspace—met with around 200 young job seekers. Participants discussed the job preparation process, job and work experience, workplace life, and finding employment and settling down in local companies. Young attendees asked questions directly on-site and shared their concerns regarding career paths and employment.

Daejeon City plans to continue providing various forms of support—such as strengthening employment capabilities, providing job information, and connecting youth with local companies—to help young people find jobs in the region and settle down stably.
