Singapore's most promising young creative minds will once again have the opportunity to shine on the global stage at the NexGen competition. Organized by the Association of Advertising and Marketing Singapore (AAMS), this premier under-30 competition challenges participants to develop comprehensive campaigns within a tight 48-hour deadline.
This year's NexGen competition is set to be the largest yet, thanks to the title sponsorship of Lazada, Southeast Asia's leading e-commerce platform. The stakes are high, with the winning team earning a fully sponsored trip to the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. There, they will represent Singapore in the Cannes Young Lions Competition, facing off against the world's most talented young creatives.
"Lazada is proud to support Singapore's next generation of creative talent," said Marcus Chew, Group Chief Marketing Officer of Lazada Group and Daraz Group. "This sponsorship not only elevates the competition but also provides a valuable platform for the winners to represent Singapore on the global stage."
NexGen serves as a crucial platform for young creatives to demonstrate their abilities under intense pressure. Participants are tasked with tackling complex challenges within the 48-hour timeframe, requiring them to showcase bold ideas, compelling storytelling, and exceptional execution. Industry veterans will judge the entries, ensuring a high standard of competition.
"NexGen has always been dedicated to celebrating and nurturing young creative talent," said Geoff Tan, Director of Events and Partnerships at AAMS. "We are thrilled to offer even greater opportunities this year, thanks to Lazada's generous support. We are confident that Singapore's young creatives will rise to the challenge and excel on the global stage."
Janson Choo, Executive Creative Director of BBH Singapore and Co-Chairman of Gongs, emphasized the importance of nurturing young talent for the future of the Singaporean advertising industry. "We sincerely appreciate Lazada's support in bringing our brightest talents to the global stage," he said. "The NexGen competition is a fantastic opportunity for these young creatives to showcase their skills and make a name for themselves."
