GIZA, EGYPT – YouTube sensation MrBeast has released a video documenting his 100-hour exploration of the Giza Pyramids, granting viewers unprecedented access to the ancient wonders. The video, already a viral sensation, is expected to significantly boost tourism to Egypt.
MrBeast, known for his extravagant challenges and philanthropic endeavors, was granted special access by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. This collaboration allowed him and his team to film in restricted areas, including secret corridors and chambers rarely seen by the public. They even spent nights inside the pyramids, capturing a unique perspective of these historical icons.
"This project was one of the most exciting I've ever undertaken," MrBeast commented. The video showcases the grandeur of the pyramids and offers insights into their history, guided by an expert Egyptologist.
The Egyptian government views this collaboration as a strategic move to promote tourism. "We are thrilled to partner with MrBeast to showcase the beauty and history of the Giza Pyramids to a global audience," stated a representative from the Ministry of Tourism. "We believe this video will inspire a new generation of travelers to experience Egypt's rich heritage."
This initiative follows similar successful collaborations with other prominent figures like Will Smith, Tom Hanks, and Morgan Freeman, all of which contributed to increased interest in Egyptian tourism.
Egypt's tourism sector is experiencing significant growth. In 2024, the country welcomed 15.7 million tourists, exceeding the 14.9 million visitors in 2023. Tourism revenue reached a record $14.1 billion, ranking Egypt first in Africa, according to a UN Tourism report. The government has set an ambitious target of attracting 30 million tourists by 2028 and has allocated substantial funds to support the development of the tourism sector. MrBeast's video is expected to play a crucial role in achieving this goal.
