[GLOBAL ECONOMIC TIMES] On the 17th, the ‘Hope Vocational School’ opened near Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to nurture the dreams of young Cambodians. This school, jointly established by Hansung University's ESG Center and Bridge of Hope, aims to provide quality vocational education to Cambodian youth to help them become self-reliant and further contribute to Cambodia's economic development.
Over the past three years, Bridge of Hope, an incorporated association, has contributed to Cambodian society through various activities such as supporting victims of human trafficking, providing clean drinking water, and educating women. The establishment of this vocational school is the culmination of Bridge of Hope's long-term efforts, and is expected to provide greater hope to Cambodian youth.
Hope Vocational School provides various vocational education to Cambodian youth, including Korean, English, K-beauty, and ICT. In particular, we plan to provide support so that students can enter the field immediately after graduation through practical training needed in the industrial field. In addition, we aim to contribute to Cambodia's economic growth by supporting employment connections through cooperation with local Korean and overseas companies.
Through an agreement with Bridge of Hope, Hansung University's ESG Center plans to support the composition and education of Korean language courses at vocational schools and support international students from Cambodia to study in Korea. Through this, both organizations will support the dreams of Cambodian youth and work together for sustainable development.
At the opening ceremony of the Hope Vocational School, Chairman Kim Deuk-hwan said, “This school will become a place where Cambodian youth can realize their dreams,” and “It will establish itself as a space that contributes to the local community and helps change their lives.” He said.
