A disgruntled former employee caused significant damage to her ex-workplace, a massage parlor located along Race Course Road in Little India. The incident occurred on Monday morning, December 9, at approximately 10 AM.
According to a report by Shin Min Daily News, the woman, a 37-year-old Chinese national, allegedly smashed the glass shopfront, leaving shards scattered across the premises and the pavement. The damage extended to the interior, with a twisted door frame and broken ceiling light fixtures.
The massage parlor's owner, Mr. Lin, revealed that the woman had been terminated from her position on December 4 due to conflicts with colleagues that had negatively impacted business operations. Mr. Lin, who had invested approximately $90,000 in the business, expressed shock and disbelief at the vandalism, stating that the parlor was closed at the time of the incident.
The woman was arrested by the police for public nuisance and was scheduled to fly back to China on Monday night. However, due to the incident, her travel plans may be disrupted.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
