Schmalz, a leading provider of automation solutions, has announced the global launch of its new mGrip finger gripper on November 1st. Designed specifically for the food and logistics industry, the mGrip offers a high degree of hygiene, flexibility, and safety for handling a wide range of products.
The mGrip is engineered to delicately handle various product shapes and sizes within food automation processes. Its specialized design meets stringent hygiene standards, enabling the automation of tasks previously performed manually, thereby enhancing process reliability and efficiency.
Powered by pneumatic technology, the mGrip can delicately handle products with sensitive surfaces, such as bakery items, vegetables, fruits, and poultry. The adjustable finger gap and opening angle ensure a secure grip while minimizing product damage.
The mGrip's modular design allows for customization of size, position, and opening angle, making it adaptable to a wide range of products and applications. Its high-speed capabilities and cost-effectiveness make it a valuable solution for various industries.
While primarily designed for the food industry, the mGrip's versatility extends to other sectors such as logistics, where it can be used to handle small components. Its durability makes it suitable for 24/7 operations.
The mGrip is designed as a closed system and complies with CIP (Cleaning in Place) and COP (Cleaning out of Place) standards, minimizing the risk of contamination. Its lightweight design ensures compatibility with collaborative robots and other lightweight automation systems.
Man Seok Jeong, CEO of Schmalz Korea, stated, "We are working closely with our German headquarters to optimize the mGrip product line for the Korean market. We will strengthen product promotion and technical support to facilitate the adoption of Schmalz mGrip solutions across various industries such as automotive, packaging, logistics, and F&B, and develop specialized strategies for the Korean market."
