Operating a Jeonbuk Tourism Promotion Booth from the 23rd to the 29th for intensive promotion targeting domestic and foreign travelers in the central region.

To celebrate the Chuseok holiday, Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province announced that it is operating an interactive Jeonbuk tourism promotion booth on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Cheongju International Airport passenger terminal from September 23 to 29.

This event was designed to promote Jeonbuk's autumn tourism resources to domestic and international travelers using the airport during the Chuseok holiday, while encouraging interest and actual visits to Jeonbuk through traditional cultural experiences and participatory events.

The province has been operating a photo exhibition and photo zone at Cheongju International Airport since the 14th, and has designated September 23 to 29 as "Special Week," an intensive promotion period to expand tourism guidance and experience programs.

On the first floor of the passenger terminal, next to the domestic escalator, a promotion booth has been set up equipped with multilingual tourism guidebooks and souvenirs from the province, cities, and counties. During the intensive promotion period, 5 to 6 professional personnel capable of multilingual communication are deployed to provide Jeonbuk tourism information to foreign tourists as well.

On the second floor, about 10 photographs capturing the autumn scenery of Jeonbuk are exhibited, allowing visitors to check detailed information on the tourist spots via QR codes. An autumn- and Chuseok-themed photo zone utilizing a full moon sculpture, autumn foliage, traditional Korean houses (hanok), and silver grass is also in operation.

In addition, large yut sticks and the provincial characters "Tourmong" and "Passmong" have been placed to provide visual attractions, and promotional videos along with drama filming locations in Jeonbuk are showcased through digital signage.

During the intensive promotion period, traditional culture-linked experience programs—such as making mother-of-pearl gat keyrings, hanji crafts, and pipe cleaner (moru) dolls—are operated for around 100 people daily. Social media authentication photo events utilizing surveys and designated hashtags will also be held to present souvenirs to participants.

This tourism promotion booth at Cheongju International Airport follows the first airport-linked promotion project held at Gwangju Airport last July and August.

In particular, Cheongju International Airport recorded approximately 2.49 million users from January to August of this year. The province plans to focus on promoting Jeonbuk's tourism resources to domestic and international travelers and securing autumn tourism demand.

Sohn Mi-jung, Head of the Tourism Industry Division at Jeonbuk State, stated, "Following Gwangju Airport, we have expanded our tourism promotion hub to Cheongju International Airport. We will strengthen our promotion so that domestic and foreign travelers using the airport can directly experience Jeonbuk's diverse tourism resources and lead to actual visits to Jeonbuk."
