[Global Economic Times] 67 companies, including LG Household & Health Care, decided to disclose all raw materials of one or more products.
The Ministry of Environment announced on the 21st that it will hold a 'Meeting Day for the Public-Private Cooperation Implementation Council for the Safety Promise of Household Chemical Products' in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 22nd.
The consultative body includes 67 manufacturers, importers, and distributors of household chemical products such as detergents and air fresheners, 4 civic groups such as the Green Consumer Alliance, the Ministry of Environment, and the Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute.
Companies participating in the council pledged to disclose all ingredients, not just the main ingredients, for one or more products. From 2017 to this month, there are 1,927 household chemical products whose entire ingredients have been disclosed on Choroknuri (living environment safety information system).
The council is scheduled to hold a launch ceremony today, December 2, and be officially launched.
