Amidst the surging interest in scripted audio content in Latin America, anticipation is high as global music streaming platform Spotify joins forces with Argentina's leading production company Cuarzo to present even more captivating audio dramas.
The first result of this collaboration is the Spanish-language thriller podcast 'DIAL'. Created by Charly Wasserman, the writer of 'Número Oculto', 'DIAL' explores the boundaries between reality and the unknown, following the story of Renzo (played by Luciano Rosso), an electrical technician living an ordinary life while trapped in the shadows of the past. One day, Renzo receives an intriguing financial offer for a late-night job repairing an old radio, where he discovers he has been summoned by a secret cult.
Comprising a total of six episodes, the series is currently available exclusively on Spotify and features immersive sound design and high-caliber performances by prominent Argentine actors such as Maite Lanata, Cristina Banegas, Paula Grinszpan, Ariel Pérez de María, and Ernesto Claudio.
Nacho Gil, Head of Podcasts and Marketing for Spotify Latin America, stated, "We are very pleased to strengthen Argentine fiction podcasts through our collaboration with Cuarzo. This close partnership with local creators further solidifies our commitment to providing users with high-quality content by leveraging Argentina's outstanding storytelling capabilities."

Matías Kuela, Director of Innovation at Cuarzo, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "The partnership with Spotify is an opportunity to produce high-quality fiction with a global impact. We are very excited to enter a new format that is attractive and organic for our company."
