The KBF dispatched a team consisting of 10 talented young players—five specializing in carom billiards and five in pocket billiards—accompanied by a chief supervisor, two expert coaches, and KBF Executive Director Kwon Young-hoon.

The selection of the players emphasized inclusivity and interaction, with recommendations from regional federations focusing on a balanced representation across regions, ages, genders, and disciplines, rather than solely on competitive rankings. This approach highlights the program's commitment to building lasting relationships and promoting sportsmanship.

The exchange program features a comprehensive schedule, beginning with acclimatization training sessions to familiarize the participants with the Tokyo venue. The core of the event comprises competitive matches, including a pocket billiards league and individual carom billiards competitions, pitting Korean players against their Japanese counterparts. Beyond the competitive aspects, ample time is dedicated to fostering camaraderie and networking among the young athletes, reinforcing the bonds formed during the event.

To enrich the cultural experience, participants will engage in a dedicated Japanese cultural program, offering insights into the host country's traditions and customs. A pivotal moment of the exchange will be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the KBF and NBA, formalizing a long-term commitment to ongoing youth-centered exchanges.

This initiative, generously supported by the Korea Sports Council, is designed to be an annual event. In 2026, the Japanese team will travel to Korea, continuing the reciprocal exchange.
