Seoul, South Korea – Hyundai Motor Company has announced the start of pre-orders for its flagship large SUV, the all-new Palisade. The completely redesigned model, which made its debut six years after the original Palisade was introduced in November 2018, offers a range of enhancements in terms of design, performance, and technology.

Powertrain Options and Performance

The all-new Palisade will be available with both 2.5-liter turbo gasoline and hybrid powertrains. Gasoline models are slated for customer deliveries starting mid-next month, while hybrid variants are expected to be available in the first half of next year, pending certification processes.

The 2.5-liter turbo gasoline engine delivers a maximum output of 281 horsepower and 43.0 kgf·m of torque, coupled with a combined fuel efficiency of 9.7 km/L. The hybrid powertrain, combining an engine and motor, boasts a combined output of 334 horsepower and an estimated driving range of over 1,000 kilometers on a single tank of fuel. Official fuel efficiency figures for the hybrid model will be released after the completion of government certification procedures.

Spacious Interior and Advanced Features

The all-new Palisade features a significantly larger interior compared to its predecessor. With a 65mm increase in overall length to 5,060mm (5,065mm for the Calligraphy trim) and a 70mm longer wheelbase at 2,970mm, the SUV offers ample space for passengers and cargo.

The 9-seater model includes a foldable multi-console that can be used as a center seat in the first row, maximizing interior versatility. The rear overhang has been extended by 35mm, and the third-row seats can slide forward by up to 70mm, providing a maximum cargo capacity of 615 liters (US measurement) and enough room to accommodate four golf bags and a Boston bag.

Cutting-Edge Technology

Hyundai's latest SUV is equipped with a host of advanced features, including the brand's first-ever Preview Electronic Controlled Suspension (ECS) for SUVs. By utilizing various sensors and navigation map data, the ECS system continuously analyzes road conditions and driving situations to minimize body roll and enhance ride comfort.

Design and Trim Levels

The all-new Palisade boasts a more sophisticated design and luxurious interior, solidifying its position as the premium flagship model in Hyundai's SUV lineup. Customers can choose from three trim levels – Exclusive, Prestige, and Calligraphy – and select between 7-seater and 9-seater configurations for both gasoline and hybrid models.
