Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Türkiye Hosts 4th Ankara Korean Film Festival

ANKARA – The Korean Cultural Center in Türkiye hosted the 4th Ankara Korean Film Festival at the Cepra Paribus Cinevers Theater, a two-day event celebrating Korean cinema. Held with the support of the Korean Film Council, the festival showcased four acclaimed films: "Smugglers," "30 Days," "Secret," and "A Normal Family."
Ambassador Jeong Yeon-doo, in his congratulatory speech, emphasized the power of film to foster cultural understanding, citing the global popularity of "K-pop Demon Hunters" as an example of shared appreciation. He expressed hope for continued and lively exchange between the Korean and Turkish film industries.
Director Jeon Seung-cheol of the Korean Cultural Center affirmed his commitment to introducing more diverse and high-quality Korean films to local audiences in Türkiye. The festival provided a platform for cultural exchange and deepened the connection between the two nations through the universal language of cinema.
The event, which officially opened on September 2, drew a large crowd of local film enthusiasts, further solidifying the growing interest in Korean culture in Türkiye. This year's festival successfully built on the success of previous years, promising more exciting film events in the future.
