Riyadh, [Date] - The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) continues its ongoing humanitarian efforts across the Middle East, providing critical assistance to vulnerable populations in Syria, Yemen, and Lebanon.
In Syria, KSrelief recently concluded the second phase of its earthquake relief project, distributing 724 food packages and 724 hygiene kits to 4,344 individuals in Sarmada and Idlib. This phase is part of a larger initiative aimed at reaching 809,700 displaced families affected by the devastating earthquake in northern Syria. The project encompasses the distribution of 134,950 food parcels and 134,950 hygiene kits across multiple regions, including Idlib, Aleppo, the northern countryside of Raqqa, and the northwestern countryside of Hasakah.
In Yemen, KSrelief distributed 450 food packages in the Al-Mansoura District of Aden Governorate last week, providing essential food support to 3,150 people. This aligns with KSrelief's ongoing efforts to address food insecurity and alleviate suffering in Yemen, which has been grappling with a protracted humanitarian crisis.
Furthermore, KSrelief continued its provision of vital healthcare services in Arsal, Lebanon, throughout November. The agency extended medical assistance to both Syrian refugees and the local Lebanese community, offering a comprehensive range of services including clinic visits, pharmacy services, laboratory tests, nursing care, and crucial mental health support. A total of 10,815 patients were treated, with 20,691 services rendered.
KSrelief's unwavering commitment to alleviating human suffering underscores its crucial role in providing vital humanitarian assistance to those in need across the region. The agency's continued efforts demonstrate its dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable populations affected by conflict, natural disasters, and other crises.
