São Brás de Alportel, Portugal – ALDI Portugal, a leading discount supermarket chain, is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest store in São Brás de Alportel. This marks the retailer's second store opening in the Algarve region this year, bringing its total number of stores in the Faro district to 21.
A Sustainable and Community-Focused Store
The new store, located on Estrada Nacional Nº 2 (EN 2) – Lugar Horta do Cano, boasts 1000 square meters of retail space, offering a wide range of fresh, high-quality products at affordable prices. The store is equipped with 70 parking spaces, including designated spots for people with reduced mobility and electric vehicles. Additionally, the store features photovoltaic panels on its roof, aligning with ALDI's commitment to sustainability.
The opening of this new store has created approximately 20 new jobs, prioritizing local recruitment and supporting the reintegration of job seekers. As part of its community engagement efforts, ALDI will donate surplus food to the Salvation Army Institution, which assists around 40 families in the area.
A Boost for Local Infrastructure
The construction of the new ALDI store has also had a positive impact on the local infrastructure. A new 430-meter connection road, featuring a pavement, a cycling path, and 50 parking spaces, has been built to link EN 2 to the historic center of Vila de São Brás de Alportel. This new road will improve accessibility for residents and visitors alike.
Grand Opening Celebration
To celebrate the store's opening, ALDI Portugal is offering a €5 discount voucher to customers on purchases over €25, valid until December 24th. All visitors will also receive welcome plants, reusable bags, and complimentary samples of Barissimo® coffee.
