Global PR ambassadors including Fabri and Florian join, foreshadowing diverse promotional activities

 
The Organizing Committee for the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo announced on the 2nd during Nonsan City's monthly meeting that they have newly appointed star chef Fabri, broadcaster Florian, trot singer Kim Da-hyun, and one youth representative as public relations ambassadors.

At the appointment ceremony, Mayor Baek Sung-hyun, who serves as the chairman of the organizing committee, personally presented the appointment plaques and welcomed the newly joined PR ambassadors. The newly appointed ambassadors share a common thread of having built special ties with Nonsan through their respective fields of activity.

Fabri established a connection with Nonsan by participating as a judge in the 2025 Nonsan Strawberry Festival contest and filming a promotional video for Nonsan. Florian lived in Nonsan while studying Korean at Konyang University's Global Language Center, and has since shown extraordinary affection for the city, even introducing himself as the "Son of Nonsan."

These two PR ambassadors are expected to help promote Nonsan strawberries and the Expo not only to foreigners residing in Korea but also internationally, leveraging their experiences built while working in Korea and their respective cultural backgrounds.

Kim Da-hyun will also widely publicize the charms of Nonsan and the Expo, building on her ties with Nonsan, such as participating in the 2027 Nonsan Citizen's Day performance in 2022.

The student PR ambassador serves as the chairperson of the Nonsan City Youth Culture Center's Youth Operation Committee, participating in various activities representing local youths. They will take on the role of promoting the Expo from the eye level of peers and communicating with the younger generation.

The PR ambassadors will promote the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo through various activities such as producing promotional videos and SNS content and participating in various events, thereby drawing the interest and participation of domestic and international visitors.

Nonsan Mayor Baek Sung-hyun stated, "We have laid the groundwork to promote the Expo to the world together with figures who have a special bond with Nonsan," adding, "Based on the PR ambassadors' diverse activity experience and networks, we will widely publicize the charm of Nonsan strawberries and the Expo at home and abroad, further strengthening global promotion."

Meanwhile, under the theme "K-Berry! Smart Agriculture, Healthy Future," the 2027 Nonsan World Strawberry Industry Expo will be held for 24 days starting from February 26, 2027, around the Nonsan City Citizens' Family Park. It is being promoted as a global business platform where domestic and international related organizations and buyers come together, as well as a representative South Korean agricultural and industrial international event introducing Nonsan to the world.
