On January 9 at 4:30 PM, the Federation of Korean Associations, USA (FKA USA)—the largest umbrella organization representing the Korean-American community—held a grand inauguration ceremony for its 31st President at the Canton House Event Hall in Atlanta, Georgia.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of Korean association presidents from across the United States, heads of various organizations, key local community leaders, and fellow compatriots who gathered to celebrate the new beginning and share the future vision of the Federation.

The event began with an opening prayer, followed by preliminary activities and the official declaration of the opening. The formal ceremony commenced with the singing of the U.S. and South Korean national anthems, followed by a moment of silence for fallen heroes and patriots. This was followed by opening remarks from the General Organizing Chair and the introduction of guests of honor. Welcoming remarks were then delivered by Ki-hwan Kim, President of the Southeast Federation of Korean Associations, and Eun-seok Park, President of the Korean American Association of Greater Atlanta, adding further significance to the occasion.

The proceedings continued with the oath of office, the handing over of the FKA USA flag, and the presentation of congratulatory wreaths. The highlight of the event was the inaugural address by the newly inducted 31st President, Jung-il Seo. The first half of the official ceremony concluded with a video presentation showcasing the Federation’s major activities, congratulatory speeches, special performances, the presentation of plaques of appreciation and appointment certificates, and a commemorative photo session.

In his inaugural address, President Jung-il Seo expressed a strong sense of responsibility and a clear commitment to action. "As the 31st administration is the first to be launched through an election in 15 years, it marks a historical turning point toward the change and future that the Korean-American community demands," Seo emphasized. He added, "As the head of a federation that encompasses 180 Korean associations across 50 states and 2.7 million compatriots, I feel a heavy sense of mission.“
